Binky Felstead’s second wedding at home of The Durrells ‘a dream come true’

OHMYGOSSIP — Binky Felstead says having her second wedding at the home of TV’s ‘The Durrells’ was a “dream come true”.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star and her husband Max Darnton tied the knot again at the former Corfu home of author Lawrence Durrell and his wife Nancy, The White House at Kalami, on July 22, a year after they got hitched at an intimate civil ceremony at Chelsea Old Town Hall.
The ITV drama series is loosely based on Gerald Durrell’s three autobiographical books about his family’s four years on the Greek island of Corfu in the 1930s.
And in an interview with HELLO! magazine, Binky said of the special venue: “I used to watch The Durrells [the ITV drama] on TV and I remember saying: ‘I really want to go there – it looks like heaven.’
“Having it as our wedding venue was a dream come true.”
The 32-year-old reality star’s ‘Made in Chelsea’ co-stars Ollie Locke and husband Gareth, Millie Mackintosh, Hugo Taylor and Rosie Fortescue were among the guests.
Max gave a touching speech on the day, in which he explained why he feels like he married two people with regards to his five-year-old stepdaughter, India, who Binky has with ex-partner Josh ‘JP’ Patterson.
He said: “I spoke about how, really, I’ve married two people.
“I said I married Binks but I also married into India’s life. As I was saying that, India trotted down and stood next to me. It was the most perfect timing. She gave me a hug and said hello to everyone on the microphone – I think she enjoyed the attention.”
The couple – who have son Wolfie, 13 months, together – have gone from Corfu, Greece to the South of France for a family holiday to “beat those post-wedding blues”.
They said: “It’ll be lovely to have some time out before India goes back to school in September. I think it’s important to plan something lovely to do after the wedding to beat those post-wedding blues.”
