Jermaine Jenas encourages public to go horseracing as part of GBR’s new Everyone’s Turf campaign

OHMYGOSSIP — Jermaine Jenas has swapped the TV studio for a racecourse as he encourages the public to get involved in a bumper summer of horseracing.
The ‘One Show’ presenter is the face of Great British Racing’s (GBR) Everyone’s Turf campaign, which promotes the wide range of raceday experiences at more than 400 fixtures set to take place this summer, including activities for children, a huge range of food options, and pulsating concerts from top musical acts.
Former England footballer Jermaine said: “I am really excited to be part of Everyone’s Turf. The sporting action at racecourses is second to none and the range of raceday experiences on offer is setting the benchmark for days out this summer.
“The stars of the sport, both jockeys and horses, will put on a memorable show at every track and there’s something for everyone at the races. Whether you’re taking your family, going with a group of friends for the music after racing, or you’re a foodie, you’re going to have a fantastic day out.”
Father-of-four Jermaine also stars in a light-hearted video, alongside former ‘Love Island’ star Chris Hughes and jockey Khadijah Mellah – the first British Muslim woman to win a British horserace – to highlight the goings on at more than 400 racing fixtures this summer.
Rod Street, CEO of Great British Racing, added: “We are delighted to have Jermaine supporting the launch of Everyone’s Turf as we encourage everyone to head to their local track and sample all that a raceday has to offer.
“First and foremost the jockeys and the horses are the stars of the show but away from the action on track there is so much more to also enjoy and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone this summer.”
In all, there are 33 Family Days, 36 Music Nights and 27 Ladies’ Days across Great Britain this summer.
Adult tickets start from as little as £6 and under 18s race free at the majority of fixtures.
With 400 meetings across 49 courses in Britain during the summer holidays, you can find a race fixture to suit you by going to https://www.greatbritishracing.com/everyonesturf
