Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall returning with new River Cottage series

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall is to return with a new ‘River Cottage’ series.
The Channel 4 series, which first aired as ‘Escape to River Cottage’ in 1999 and saw the TV chef set out to be self-sufficient at the Dorset abode, is to make a comeback on More4 with the title ‘River Cottage Reunited’, and it will be shot at the same gamekeeper’s cottage in Dorset.
Hugh wrote on Twitter: “Many of you have been asking about whether this might happen for some time now, and now I can finally confirmed that… #RiverCottage is coming back on the telly!
“Yes, River Cottage Reunited is a BRAND NEW SERIES! And it’s coming to your screens on More4 VERY soon. (sic)”
Hugh admitted he felt “quite emotional” to be back at River Cottage.
Speaking in a video posted on his Twitter page, he said: “I’m back at River Cottage, folks.
“It tell you, it feels quite emotional to be here. Nobody has been living here for a while, so it’s a little bit overgrown.
“All those years ago, this place changed my life. It’s really exciting to be here again.
“I tell you what else is exciting, we’ve got a brand-new River Cottage series coming soon, the first for almost 10 years. Visiting this place is just a part of it.
“If you want to see some feasting and foraging and have a really good time, come and join us. I’ll let you know when we’re on.”
Hugh shot to fame in ‘Escape to River Cottage’ in 1999, and then returned with ‘Return to River Cottage’ in 2000, and ‘River Cottage Forever’ in 2001.
The franchise also spawned several other shows, including 2005’s ‘River Cottage Road Trip’, ‘River Cottage: Gone Fishing’ in 2007, and ‘River Cottage: Summer’s Here’ in 2009.
