Coronation Street bosses promise a week of ‘unmissable’ drama

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’ bosses has promised fans that a week of “unmissable drama” is on the way.
The ITV soap has teased viewers with the release of a trailer for the week that will see established characters Abi and Imran locked in their custody battle over baby Alfie, while Toyah Battersby is still reeling from the revelation that Imran was unfaithful to her and fathered the newborn, resulting in them losing the child they planned to adopt.
Meanwhile, solicitor Imran has has paid an associate to lie about Abi to make it appear to the court that she has started up her old drug habits again and Kevin Webster is left questioning whether he can forgive his girlfriend for her infidelity in the first place.
MD Continuing Drama Head of ITV in the North, John Whiston said: The pigeons really do come home to roost for some of Corrie’s best loved characters in this fantastic week of edge of your seat drama. Secrets unravel, truths hurt and lives well and truly turn upside down as the lengths Imran went to to take baby Alfie away from Abi are revealed. Whether your sympathies are with Abi, with Toyah or with Imran, this is not a week to be missed.”
In the new trailer – set to air on television on Monday (16.05.22) – the characters can be seen twisting and turning in a carousel-like fashion to the sound of a haunting song, a crying child and sirens.
The trailer is captioned: “This is what you get.”
The scenes will air towards the end of May 2022.
