Modelling was too easy for me

OHMYGOSSIP — Natalia Vodianova has revealed she decided to swap the catwalk for charity work because modelling was “not hard enough” a job for her.

These days the 33-year-old beauty has swapped the catwalk for charity work and admitted she needed a new challenge because she was too comfortable in her original profession.

Natalia is a founder of the Naked Heart Foundation, a philanthropic organisation that strives to provide a safe environment for kids in urban Russia to play in and also strives to support families raising kids with disabilities.

She said: “Modelling became not hard enough. It can be draining, but it’s about beauty, luxury and being treated like a goddess, and at some point there wasn’t enough challenge there. It becomes too comfortable, and comfort is not something I can do.”

Natalie is also kept busy with her four children – Lucas, 14, Neva, nine, and Viktor, eight, with ex-husband Justin Portman and 20-month-old Maxim with her current partner Antoine Arnault – and insists she lives a quiet life with them when she is not working.

In an interview with The Sunday Times Style magazine, she said: “We live a quiet life compared to others in the industry. Our life is not as fabulous as you would imagine.”

Antoine is the son of of the LVMH chairman, Bernard Arnault, France’s richest man but Natalia insists her partner is a self-made man.

She said: “There is a discrimination against ‘sons of’, but he has a different approach to people than his father, and they love him for that. He’s emotionally intelligent. I love him. I’m proud of him.”
