Caitlyn Jenner cancels speaking tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Caitlyn Jenner has cancelled her forthcoming five-city speaking tour because of scheduling commitments.

The ‘I Am Cait’ star – who was known as Bruce Jenner before undergoing a gender transition – was expected to give inspirational talks in five cities as part of the ‘Unique Lives and Experiences’ series but has had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts.

Her publicist Alan Nierob said: “Those dates conflicted with another work commitment.”

It had not been confirmed what sort of topics the 66-year-old former Olympian was hoping to discuss but it is thought the speech would have been titled ‘Up Close and Personal’.

TMZ reports the Toronto venue still had “a lot” of tickets left when the cancellation was made although the cancellation is said to be strictly down to her schedule.

Meanwhile, Caitlyn certainly isn’t new to public speaking, having given a number of inspirational talks in her life, but admits she was nervous when she made a speech at the ESPYs last year after collecting her Arthur Ashe Courage Award.

She said at the time: “Reading my speech off of the teleprompter was a whole other story. As a dyslexic kid, my biggest fear in life was to go in front of the class and read because I just wasn’t very good at it – and that stays with you through your whole life.

“That’s why all of my speaking engagements through the years have been always off the cuff. I’m better off getting up there knowing what I’m going to say and doing it.”
