Gwyneth Paltrow launches pop-up store
OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow launched her GOOP pop-up store in New York yesterday (23.11.15). The 43-year-old actress launched her luxury Wonder Woman-inspired temporarily store called Goop Mrkt inside Manhattan’s Time Warner Center.
The pop-up shop, which has also been held in Dallas, Chicago and Los Angeles, features clothing, household items and makeup, with prices starting from $100.
She said previously: “One would think New York City would be the first location for a pop-up, and that is precisely why we waited. What started as an experiment has become a viable business for us. We wanted to get the New York City location operating at another level, which it will be, from a design and merchandising standpoint.”
But that’s not all as Gwyneth also teamed up with Valentino – the first time the brand has collaborated on a celebrity line – to launch a 25-piece collection of apparel and accessories.
She added: “To me, it’s a fantastic and resonant idea because everybody is working, having kids, trying not to miss a soccer game while at the same time being on a conference call. The modern woman is a wonder woman.”
The items are also available to purchase on her lifestyle website GOOP.com, which she founded in 2008 and has expanded over the years, from now.
