Vin Diesel backs Luke Evans as the next James Bond

OHMYGOSSIP — Vin Diesel thinks his former co-star Luke Evans would make a good James Bond. The 48-year-old action hero stars alongside Luke, 36, in the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise and has suggested he’d make a suitable replacement for current incumbent Daniel Craig, who’s hinted he’s ready to walk away from the coveted role.

Vin told Digital Spy that Luke – who starred as British villain Owen Shaw in the money-spinning series – brought a “Bond-like” feel to ‘Fast and Furious’ and backed him to be the next 007.

Meanwhile, Daniel – who first played Bond in ‘Casino Royale’ in 2006 – has been ambiguous about whether he’ll be returning to the role after spending the last eight months making ‘Spectre’.

Although speculation continues to surround the identity of the next Bond, the British actor insisted he’ll make the final decision on whether he returns, having previously said he would rather “slash” his wrists.

He said recently: “I have the right to change my mind any time I want. And sometimes I say things, like I did when I was asked two days after I just finished shooting for eight months, ‘Would I do another one?'”
