Arnold Schwarzenegger is not dead: Report claiming ‘The Terminator’ actor died is false

OHMYGOSSIP — Arnold Schwarzenegger joins the list of popular Hollywood celebrities who fall victim of Internet death hoax. Austrian-American actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is also a former professional bodybuilder and politician, reportedly became a victim of a death hoax after a fake report of his sudden demise surfaced online.

The fake news about the 68-year-old businessman captured many of his fans’ attention after a hoax website,, published an article claiming he was found death at his California home.

The fake death report, which was posted on 27 August, stated that the Los Angeles Police Department received a 911 emergency call about an “unresponsive male” from his house. According to the online portal, the police force found the actor’s deceased body on his bed.

The hoax website even quoted Los Angeles Police Chief James J Freda as saying, “We found Mr. Schwarzenegger in his bedroom deceased around 9:30 pm on Wednesday. We found no reason to believe foul play was a factor in his death but intent to perform a full investigation.”

While some fans posted RIP messages on the comments section of the article, others identified it as a fake report.

A day after the fake report surfaced online, Schwarzenegger was spotted with producer Robert Earl at the E Baldi Restaurant in Los Angeles, according to Daily Mail.

However, this is not the first time that the former California Governor is becoming a victim of an Internet death hoax. In February 2014, a fake report about his death gained a lot of attention after one of his admirers created a Facebook page with the title, “RIP Arnold Schwarzenegger”.

Other celebrities, who were mourned even while they were alive, include Rowan Atkinson, Russell Crow, Rihanna, Jackie Chan, Eddie Murphy, Norman Reedus, Miley Cyrus, George Clooney and Ricky Martin.
