Tanya Moodie addresses Motherland’s future

OHMYGOSSIP — Tanya Moodie says season four of ‘Motherland’ is “in the ether”.
The 60-year-old actress – who plays the role of Meg – has revealed they are still deciding whether or not the BBC sitcom has enough material for another instalment.
Speaking to RadioTimes.com, she said: “Well, we’re trying to figure out if there’s any more ‘Motherland’. That’s sort of in the ether. But we don’t know how or when.”
The BBC has yet to commission another season.
The show focuses on the “trials and traumas of middle-class motherhood”.
‘Motherhood’ also starred Anna Maxwell Martin as Julia, Diane Morgan as Liz, Paul Ready as Kevin and Lucy Punch as Amanda. Season three aired last June.
Meanwhile, Tanya is currently starring in ‘A Discovery of Witches’ and admitted she felt deep “admiration” for her fellow co-stars and the crew for doing everything possible to keep everyone safe while shooting amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
She said: “I think this year in particular, if I want to single out this year, I think having to work under the circumstances of the pandemic – what I really appreciated was how all of us worked very, very hard to keep everyone safe. And so we sort of got into this rhythm of how to be in a bubble.
“I think the way we sort of revealed ourselves through that, it deepens my admiration for everybody. It just really makes your heart kind of swell, how hard everyone was working to tell the story, get it filmed, and keep everyone safe.”
