Tommy Jessop would love to reprise his Line of Duty role

OHMYGOSSIP — Tommy Jessop would like to return for another series of ‘Line of Duty’.
The 36-year-old actor – who became the first actor with Down syndrome to star in a prime-time BBC drama – has admitted he would love to reprise his role as Terry Boyle if the award-winning show makes a comeback.
He told “Hopefully, yes I would [like to be in the next series] and to quote Terry Boyle – ‘No comment’.”
Tommy – who joined the cast in 2019 and returned for three further explosive episodes last year – admitted he felt “overwhelmed” during his time on set.
He said: “I was utterly speechless and overwhelmed.
“[I’m] really grateful and honoured at all the support from so many people, and I really do hope that I can live up to it.”
As for the future of the show, just last month Shalom Brune-Franklin insisted she has “no idea” if there will be more episodes.
The actress – who played DC Chloe Bishop in sixth season of the police corruption drama – doesn’t believe herself to be “important enough” to know whether or not the show will return for another series after first debuting in 2012.
During an appearance on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’, she quipped: “I don’t think I’m important enough to know the answers to those questions…that’s what I practised to say if asked this… I have no idea…
“I don’t know… I really am not important enough to know the answer. Obviously, yeah [I would want to do it].”
However, the 27-year-old star said the show was “finished and done” as she opened up about the secrecy involved in being part of the cast.
She added: “I loved it [the ending]. I get so scared to talk about ‘Line of Duty’ even though It’s finished and done. I still feel like I’m going to give something away. You have to keep the secrets for so long.”
