Top Gear hosts Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris want ‘naughty’ spin-off

OHMYGOSSIP — Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris would love a “naughty” ‘Top Gear’ spin-off.
The presenting trio would love producers to keep the cameras rolling to capture some of their X-rated jokes for a late-night edition, although the stars aren’t sure their bosses would be too impressed.
Chris – who first joined in 2016 alongside Matt LeBlanc and Rory Reid before being joined by Freddie and Paddy three years later – said: “I think we have more fun when the cameras stop filming.
“A post-watershed late night show would be incredible. It would be so funny be we would be sacked immediately.”
Paddy agreed with his co-host, and he admitted their humour gets “quite dark” once the trio know they’re not being filmed.
As quoted by The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column, he added: “It can get quite dark when the filming stops. The chat gets a bit naughty.
“They should record everything that happens after official filming has stopped and stick it on late at night as a bit of an iPlayer spin-off.”
Earlier this month, Paddy and Chris revealed they almost got drunk before a drag race – but the show’s boss put the brakes on them sampling some pre-race moonshine.
The incident occurred while filming an episode of the new series in Iceland, where they were without Flintfof as he was forced to isolate having come into contact with a COVID-19 positive Jamie Redknapp on the set of Sky Max’s ‘A League Of Their Own’.
Paddy said: “One of the local lads tried to give us moonshine when we were out there doing a drag race.
“I was like, ‘That’s not the best thing to have before driving, being honest.’ ”
And Chris is grateful for show boss Clare Pizey getting involved, otherwise he’d have been “all over that”.
He said: “It was 77 per cent proof moonshine and ‘Top Gear’ boss Clare, she confiscated it. I would have been all over that.
“But seriously, we felt privileged to get away.
“We needed to get abroad because we have explored so much of the UK. Going away reminded us why we make this show.”
