Daisy May Cooper: I never see Charlie

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy May Cooper never sees her brother and ‘This Country’ co-star Charlie Cooper.
The pair co-created, co-wrote, and starred as Kerry and Lee ‘Kurtan’ Mucklowe, respectively, in the BAFTA-winning comedy TV series – which follows the lives of the cousins living in modern rural Britain – but the pair of siblings have hardly seen each other since he bagged himself a “really good-looking” girlfriend.
In an interview with The Guardian newspaper’s Saturday magazine, Daisy spilled: “Never see the b******. He’s got a really good-looking girlfriend, he’s bought himself a lovely house in Stroud, and he never replies to any of my text messages.”
The 35-year-old star says her brother likes to keep out of the spotlight.
She said: “He will not go to any now. I’ll only go if I have a plus-one that I want to show off to.”
Although the pair aren’t in regular contact, the comedienne recently insisted she is open to shooting a ‘This Country’ Christmas special.
She said in April: “We might do … maybe we’ll do a Christmas special sometime in the future, but I’m not sure yet.”
Daisy’s dad Paul Cooper also appeared in the show and she joked that working with him was “horrendous”.
She quipped: “Dad was absolutely terrible. He couldn’t remember his lines. It was horrendous.”
She jokingly added: “‘[Charlie] wasn’t a professional actor. He went to uni to study sport science and then realised he was really thick.”
Meanwhile, the actress is currently in the process of divorcing Will Weston – who she got hitched to in 2019, after meeting on a dating app in 2015 – and she insisted: “He’s an amazing man, but we’re just not compatible.”
The ex-couple have two children together.
