Jordan North made ‘rubbish’ speech for Beverley Callard’s wedding vow renewal

OHMYGOSSIP — Jordan North made the “worst wedding speech” ever as Beverley Callard renewed her vows.
The former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ campmates have joined forces on upcoming ITV series ‘Beverley & Jordan: Destination Wedding’ as they travelled through Spain before the former ‘Coronation Street’ star’s emotional ceremony with husband Jon McEwan.
She told The Sun newspaper’s Biz TV column: “Jordan got really emotional and he had to make the speech – and was rubbish.”
The Radio 1 DJ added: “It is the worst wedding speech I have ever seen. I got everyone’s names wrong. I thanked the wrong people.”
The five-part series – which starts on October 20 – was filmed over the summer, and Beverley joked she looked “dog-rough” during the road trip, which took the pair through Northern Spain, Madrid, Toledo, Valencia and Benidorm.
She added: “There was no hair and makeup, I looked dog-rough throughout the entire show. It was authentic and that is what it was really like.
“At the start, I thought this will be easy for Jordan because he is a star, to him it comes to naturally but it doesn’t come naturally to me.”
Despite the tough journey and Jordan’s speech mishaps, the vows ceremony itself – which took place in Mojacar – was “down to earth and lovely”.
Now, the pair are in talks for a second series together and the soap star revealed she and Jordan are hoping for a big budget.
She said: “We want a massive budget. I want the nicest clothes you have seen. But let’s be honest, there is no chance of that.
“They are talking about different things – we’ll end up in Cleethorpes.”
Beverley previously heaped praise on her co-star after meeting him on ‘I’m a Celebrity’.
The actress said: “I’d never met him before, until that first day when the first sight of him was him throwing up on the cliff top.
“I was thinking, who is this guy? When you meet someone eye to eye, he’s got the warmest eyes, he’s the kindest, gentlest person but also is just naturally funny. He doesn’t try, it just pours out of him. He’s gorgeous.”
