I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! bosses insist on two-week quarantine

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ bosses are set to enforce a two-week quarantine for the stars of the new series.
ITV is determined to avoid a ‘Strictly’-style COVID crisis and producers are preparing to introduce new measures before the celebrities are allowed to enter Gwrych Castle in Wales.
A source said: “All of the celebrities will have to quarantine alone for a fortnight.
“Once this ends they will enter the camp, which is basically then their bubble for the whole series.
“Testing will be done regularly in camp and on the set to ensure all the cast and crew are safe.”
The COVID-19 crisis has proven to be a major headache for the bosses of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
And ‘I’m a Celebrity’s producers are determined to get things right before the stars enter the castle.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: “ITV thinks this is the best case scenario and will stop any headaches surrounding COVID, which has been a nightmare for the BBC with ‘Strictly’.”
‘I’m a Celebrity’ is returning to Wales for the new series, and the hosts – Ant and Dec – recently gave fans an insight into what they can expect.
Dec explained earlier this year: “[There is] one thing we will be doing differently this series from last year. On launch day our socials blew up saying, ‘Oh my god, you’ve saved 2020, ‘I’m a Celeb’ is back and it’s amazing!’
“Then on the Saturday, because of COVID protocols, we took a break for our highlights show. Oh, you should have seen our socials then!”
Dec acknowledged that the Saturday highlights show wasn’t well received by fans.
He added: “No highlights this year. It’ll be a full series.”
