Adam Woodyatt ‘joins I’m A Celebrity’

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Woodyatt looks set to star on this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
The ‘EastEnders’ legend is said to have agreed to take part in the latest series of the ITV reality show after bosses offered him a bumper pay deal.
Adam has played Ian Beale since the very first episode of the BBC One soap in 1985 but is currently on a break from Albert Square as he tours in the theatre production of Peter James’ ‘Looking Good Dead’.
‘I’m A Celebrity’ bosses are reportedly thrilled that the 53-year-old star has signed up.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Adam was a big target for the casting team – he is a soap legend and is certain to be a huge hit with fans.
“But they knew they might have their work cut out because he has been quite reticent to do interviews or reality TV shows in recent years.
“When you consider how long he has been a household name, he has only agreed to a handful of TV appearances outside of Albert Square.
“So it’s huge coup to have reached this point, and everyone is very excited about having him on the show. He’s a brilliant addition.”
The new series will once again take place at Gwyrch Castle in Wales after being forced to relocate from Australia for a second straight year due to coronavirus restrictions.
Adam is set to join TV presenter Richard Madeley and former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge Dame Arlene Phillips who have both reportedly joined the show.
The star will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of ‘EastEnders’ colleagues Joe Swash, Charlie Brooks and Jacqueline Jossa – who all won the series in its usual Australian jungle setting.
