Craig David joins Simon Cowell’s Walk The Line as a judge

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig David has joined Simon Cowell’s ‘Walk The Line’ as a judge.
The ‘Fill Me In’ hitmaker will make his major TV debut on the upcoming ITV music game show, that will launch later this year with Simon and a mystery third judge.
The programme will be presented by Maya Jama and will see musical acts perform in front of the judges. On each night, the winning act will be given a choice – to cash out and leave with a modest amount or to remain in the contest and compete against other acts in the next show where they could land a £500,000 jackpot or lose everything.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper: “Craig David is an icon of the British music industry – but he’s also as relevant today as he was when he first burst on the scene back at the beginning of the Noughties.
“He’s appeared on Simon’s shows before – and he’s widely respected – so it would make perfect sense for him to be involved in Simon’s new show.
“It’s an exciting move and adds real credibility to the panel. You can always rely on Simon to keep it fresh and get everyone talking.
“Backstages bosses are excited for this show to air as it’s going to be exciting, and the massive cash prize will create a real buzz.”
Craig previously suggested that he would be up for judging alongside Simon on ‘The X Factor’ but the show was axed earlier this year.
The 40-year-old singer said: If Simon came to me with that position, I would definitely think about it.
“I think I could mentor people in a good way and bring something new that hasn’t been seen before.
“I’ve been in the industry for almost 20 years.
“I’ve had highs and lows and really believe I could offer some great advice.”
