Paul Sinha: The Chase turned my life ‘upside down’

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Sinha didn’t realise how much ‘The Chase’ would turn his life “upside down”.
The 51-year-old television personality feels “lucky” that the ITV quiz show is so popular but he knows television won’t last forever and is a “finite thing”.
He said: “I’m part of a show that, luckily for me, is doing very well and is very popular. I didn’t know when I joined the show the degree that my life would be turned upside down.”
Paul – who is known as The Sinnerman on the quiz show – admits he would choose stand-up over television, if he had to, because he doesn’t want to “put all his eggs in the quiz basket”.
Speaking on The Russell Howard Hour on Sky One, he added: “If I had to choose it would be stand-up though because at the end of the day The Chase will go as long as it can, but it’s TV and TV is a finite thing. I don’t want to be at the whim of producers, put all your eggs in the quiz basket.
“Stand-up is what I really love and want to be doing for as long as humanly possible. I mean, I love both, but if I had to pick one it would be stand-up.”
Paul previously admitted he worries his Parkinson’s is getting worse every time he gets a quiz question wrong.
He explained: “Every time I get a question wrong in a quiz that I used to know the answer to, I think, ‘Should I be worried?’ And then I realise that everybody does it. I’m just quite pragmatic about it. Yes, I’m 51, and I’ve got Parkinson’s – things are going to fall out of my head, things are going to stay in my head.”
