Drew Barrymore’s cosmetics line honoured by PETA

OHMYGOSSIP — Drew Barrymore’s cosmetics line FLOWER Beauty has made it onto PETA US’ ‘Beauty Without Bunnies’ list after the company pledged against animal testing.

The 39-year-old actress’ cosmetics collection FLOWER Beauty has been placed on the charity’s ‘Beauty Without Bunnies’ list in acknowledgement of the company’s pledge never to conduct, commission or pay for animal testing during product development.

The ‘Charlie’s Angels’ star – who previously collaborated with PETA as a spokeswoman – thanked the animal rights organisation for recognising that her brand was “cruelty-free”.

She said in a statement: “FLOWER Beauty is about all things good. Thank you, PETA, for the acknowledgement of our cruelty-free brand.”

The programme aims to protect hundreds of thousands of animals around the world who are force-fed chemicals or have substances dripped into their eyes or rubbed onto their skin during unreliable tests.

Prior to launching FLOWER Beauty, Drew fronted campaigns for cosmetics companies including Lancôme from 2004 to 2005, and Procter & Gamble’s CoverGirl line between 2007 and 2012.

Meanwhile, PETA recently teamed up with ‘Made In Chelsea’ star Lucy Watson for World Vegetarian Day 2014 and reality TV personality Courtney Stodden for their Congressional Veggie Dog Giveaway.
