Jamie Oliver gifts his staff boxer shorts

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Oliver gifts his male staff members with boxer shorts after he had an undergarment epiphany himself.
The 46-year-old TV chef was so stunned at the comfort provided by boxer brand Saxx, he splashed out on a job lot for his restaurant staff.
He said: “I had a revelation about boxer shorts and we had a moment with the crew.
“I said, ‘What are you wearing? They all pull up their bits and it’s Calvin Klein, or what have you. So I bought them all Saxx.”
It seems as though Jamie now refuses to wear anything else downstairs and claims the experience of wearing Saxx boxers is one like no other.
He said: “If you want to have your balls cradled by an angel all day, every day. This is the truth. They have trademarked ‘ballpark technology’. I’ve got some downstairs now.”
Jamie went on to admit that the pants may not be as sexy or “cool” as rivals such as Calvin Klein, but his interest is purely in the comfort.
The celebrity cook told the ‘Off Menu’ podcast: “I’m not trying to get them onto Saxx because it’s a cool brand – it’s not even cool. In actual fact they’re not that cool to look at, I don’t think.”
Jamie, who is known as The Naked Chef, also insisted that he is not being paid to plug the pants, and he confirmed he has “no relationship with the company at all”.
The Saxx brand itself touts itself as selling “life-changing” underwear which is “designed to reduce friction”.
It comes just days after the culinary sensation announced his new TV venture, which will be a quest to find the next big thing in the cooking world, with the coveted prize being a book deal with publishing giants Penguin Random House.
The seven-part series will air on Channel 4 next year.
In a statement, Jamie said: “I am just so excited to get out there and discover incredible new talent, new perspectives, and new approaches to cooking and food.”
