Sam Thompson wants to start a family with Zara McDermott

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Thompson wants to have a baby with Zara McDermott.
The 29-year-old TV star hopes to have a child in the near future, after Zara’s cheating scandal in 2020 brought them closer together.
He shared: “I’ve hit a stage where I’m doing my house up at the moment, I want to make it into a really nice adult home, I’m nearly 30 and I’m with the girl of my dreams.
“Not in the next year … but not in the too distant future. I don’t want to be a really old dad. But I do need to grow up a little bit first.”
Zara, 24, confessed to being unfaithful last year. And even though they quickly rekindled their romance, Sam admitted to going through a particularly tough time in his life.
He told MailOnline: “I hated that time. I didn’t enjoy it at all. But what human would? The way I handle things is by smiling and laughing about it and just trying to make it seem lighter than it already is. That’s always the way I’ve been.
“It’s probably a defence mechanism. But I also kept on telling myself, ‘f*** it this is what I’m so upset about? Just deal with it’.
“There are people who are a lot worse off I’m incredibly lucky for the relationship drama to be the main drama in your life.”
Despite his heartbreak, Sam was sure he still loved Zara and he now thinks the situation has actually brought them closer together.
He explained: “I knew I loved her. I knew I wanted to be with her and it was tough but you’ve got to think of the positives. It brought us closer.”
