Dani Dyer’s partner Sammy Kimmence jailed for 3.5 years

OHMYGOSSIP — Dani Dyer’s boyfriend has been jailed for three and a half years.
Sammy Kimmence, 25, – who welcomed son Santiago with former ‘Love Island’ star Dani, 24, in January was branded “despicable” in Portsmouth Crown Court on Wednesday (14.07.21) as he was sentenced after being found guilty of cheating two pensioners out of more than £33,000.
According to Portsmouth.co.uk, Sammy was working for Equine Global Sports Limited, a sports betting business, when he met his victims Peter Martin, 91, and Peter Haynes, 82.
He stayed in touch with them after the firm went into liquidation in 2016 and offered to make investments on their behalf.
Prosecutor Michael Mason said Kimmence “groomed the men” and Mr Martin “seceded financial control” to him, giving him access to his internet banking details and credit card.
He added: “It’s akin, one would argue, to the fox getting the key to the chicken pen.”
Kimmence reportedly wept in court as judge Tim Mousley QC said: “Neither of them was a wealthy man and each of them relied on a state pension and a small annuity, and you persuaded them you could provide sound investment advice for them. What you were actually doing was stealing their money.
“You essentially treated the bank accounts and credit services of these two gentlemen as if they were your own.”
He is believed to have spent the money on clearing his overdraft, car payments, clothing, takeaways, holidays and a phone contract.
Mr Haynes said: “In one go all the savings that I accrued over my working life were wiped out. My bank account shows zero.
“I believe that I lost £8,820 to Mr Kimmence. I was left sick with worry.’
“I have worked all of my adult life and what was taken by Mr Kimmence was everything I had saved.
“It’s no exaggeration to say that I was left living on the breadline as a result of his actions and dishonesty.”
Mr Martin added: “I have been left at times very stressed over money having given thousands to Sammy who I thought was investing it for me.”
Kimmence admitted five charges of fraud by false accounting at Portsmouth Crown Court in April.
