Graziano di Prima ready to be in same-sex Strictly couple

OHMYGOSSIP — Graziano di Prima is ready to be one half of the first all-male pairing on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 27-year-old Italian dancer has been tipped to be the professional who gets paired with another man when the BBC One ballroom show returns later this year, and he insists he would be delighted to accept that challenge.
When asked about the rumours he is set to be part of the first all-male couple, he said: “As long as they’re going to be my partner, I will be ready. We don’t know yet but my fingers are crossed. If you don’t get a partner you’re going to be busy anyway but obviously if you get the opportunity to dance with a celebrity, it’s different.”
Olympic boxer Nicola Adams became the first celebrity to dance in a same-sex couple when she was paired up with Katya Jones on the 2020 series, however, they had to withdraw from the competition after Katya tested positive for COVID-19.
Graziano already made history on the show when he and fellow pro Johannes Radebe performed the first all-male routine on the programme, and the Italian hunk admits he was proud to get to that historic dance with his long-time friend.
In an interview with the Metro newspaper, he said: “It was normal for us because Johannes and I used to dance together every Sunday. So when the production asked us what we thought, we were like, ‘Yes, or course!’ But we could never have predicted the response – in a good way.”
Graziano joined the line-up of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2018 and he’ll never forget the way that the show’s family took him under their wing, and veteran Anton Du Beke gave him an invaluable piece of advice which he still dances by now.
He said: “I’ll never forget what Anton Du Beke told me as a new guy three years ago. He said, ‘You see all these cameras, they’re going to do the job for you, you need to just enjoy.”
