Christopher Biggins claims Celebrity Big Brother exit was fixed

OHMYGOSSIP — Christopher Biggins claims ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ bosses “deliberately got rid” of him so Stephen Bear could win the show.
The 72-year-old showbiz legend took part in the 18th season of the show in 2016 but was thrown out of the house on day nine for causing offense with alleged antisemitic remarks and his view of bisexual people, and he’s now claimed producers were worried his popularity with the viewing public meant they wouldn’t get the result they wanted.
He said: “Nobody knows the real facts on that particular situation. They wanted a boy who they had in another television programme they owned, they had this boy who was going to be a big star of the show to win.
“Unbeknownst to me, I was favourite to win and they didn’t want that, so they deliberately got rid of me.”
Asked if they engineered the scandal to get rid of him, he said: “Without doubt, without doubt.”
Christopher believes producers were confident his reputation could withstand being embroiled in such a scandal.
When GB News presenter Dan Wootton pointed out it could have ruined his career, he said: “It could have done but I think they thought ,He’s the one person in this show that can bear it, we can get rid of him, there’ll be an outcry, but he’ll survive.’
“I honestly believe that, it may be wrong but there’s that element to the whole saga.
“It was horrible.”
The ‘Rentaghost’ star claimed staff working behind the scenes were “in floods of tears” when he left the house because they knew what was happening was wrong.
He continued: “It’s a terrible situation, it’s your whole livelihood, it’s everything and they don’t care. I do think, some of the researchers – when I was asked to leave, there were about 20 people in floods of tears on the production side.
“[Because they knew it was wrong?] Exactly, and one day I’ll write the whole story because it is a frightening story and this is how powerful television can be.”
