Catherine Tyldesley: Cooking With The Stars was mores stressful than Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine Tyldesley says competing on ‘Cooking With The Stars’ was “more stressful” than ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
During one clip from the upcoming show Catherine shouts she feels like she is having a “mid-life crisis” as she desperately searches for a pallet knife.
But the former ‘Coronation Street’ actress has admitted she “loved” appearing on the new ITV series.
She said: “It was more stressful than ‘Strictly’, and I can’t dance.
“It was really stressful, but I loved it.
“It really was just a wonderful experience.”
The show – which is hosted by Emma Willis and Tom Allen – will see eight celebrities each paired with a professional chef who will mentor, teach and take them from passionate amateur to restaurant-level chefs, but Catherine soon realised she couldn’t cook compared to the pros.
She said: “When I went into the show they said to me, ‘Can you cook?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I can cook.’
“When you’re paired with a Michelin-starred chef you quickly realise you can’t cook compared to these guys.
“Their knowledge is incredible.”
The stars will take part in a series of cooking battles, during which they will produce delicious dishes which will be judged by the remaining professionals.
Earlier this week, it was revealed ‘Cooking With The Stars’ contestant Harry Judd chopped the end of his finger off while filming the show, and Catherine admitted he suffered other injuries, too, requiring him to wear blue plasters.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, she added: “Limbs were nearly lost with the chopping.
“You couldn’t see Harry Judd for blue plasters to be honest.”
Comedian Johnny Vegas, ‘Strictly’ judge Shirley Ballas, TV presenter Denise Van Outen, comedian and actor Griff Rhys-Jones, DJ and songwriter Naughty Boy, and TV presenter AJ Odudu complete the line-up.
