Rachel Riley potty-trained daughter from 3 months old

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Riley started potty-training her daughter when she was three months old.
The ‘Countdown’ star – who has 17-month-old Maven with Pasha Kovalev – aimed to be more sustainable with her little one by ditching disposable nappies and teaching her to use the toilet.
She told The Sun newspaper: “We started potty training Mave when she was really teeny tiny. We saved loads of money, and loads of plastic too.
“And we use cloth nappies – when you’ve got a baby, you’re doing more washing anyway.”
Rachel, 35, is expecting her second child in October and is planning to train her newborn to use the toilet from an early age.
What’s more, the maths whizz is aiming to make things more sustainable on ‘Countdown’ by banning single-use plastic from the set of the Channel 4 show.
She added: “It’s small things, but every aspect of the show and how we make it is being looked at.”
Rachel says the game show has been “very lively” since Anne Robinson joined the programme as her new co-host.
She said: “It’s been really fun watching Anne very quickly find her feet and seeing the contestants in the new groove with her.
“She’s not shy of asking funny questions and responses ranged from comedy to not looking at her and hoping she doesn’t see them. It’s been very lively.”
Anne, 76, has joined ‘Countdown’ as Nick Hewer’s replacement, and she makes up an all-female line-up alongside Rachel and Dictionary Corner’s Susie Dent.
Rachel said: “Three girls do ‘Countdown’ – who wouldn’t want to watch?”
What’s more, Susie – who worked with Anne on BBC IQ series ‘Test The Nation’ in 2005 – is delighted the former ‘The Weakest Link’ host has joined the programme.
She said: “I’m so pleased to be able to work with Anne again. She’s going to be a wonderful addition to the Countdown team.”
