Matt Willis wants to work with wife Emma on TV

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Willis is looking to “move into TV presenting”.
The Busted musician is keen to join his wife Emma Willis – who hosts ‘The Voice’ and has previously worked on the likes of ‘The Circle’ and ‘Big Brother’ – in the world of television, and it’s said the 38-year-old star sees his future on the small screen.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “After over two decades in Busted, Matt is preparing to make the move into TV presenting.
“He is totally overhauling his image and sees his future on the box. Matt is so serious about this new step he has signed up to Emma’s management company, who helped curate her career to make her a huge star.
“Together, the pair are being touted as TV’s new power couple. Matt and Emma have great chemistry together and are both perfect for wholesome, family television.”
Matt almost made it onto new BBC show ‘Rock of Ages’, but he’s still keen to push on with his plan and hopes to co-present something with his partner.
The source added: “Matt has already been going to castings for new TV shows and was in the final selection for BBC2’s new series ‘Rock Of Ages’.
“He narrowly missed out to Martin Kemp but he’s not been disheartened. Busted have been on a hiatus since 2019 and while he is very much still part of the band, it’s something that is on the back burner for now.
“His fans should be watching out for him on a new TV series soon and if their plan works, Emma will be by his side.”
He’s set to play Dr. Pomatter in ‘Waitress’ at the New Wimbledon Theatre later in 2021, while he’s also filming World War Two movie ‘Wolves of War’.
And it seems Matt is keen to explore acting further after previously appearing in ‘Birds of a Feather’ and ‘EastEnders’.
The insider said: “Matt is making sure he is being taken seriously as an actor and he has won some big roles recently, which lines up his next career step perfectly.”
