Shirley Ballas would rather starve than eat fast food

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley Ballas would “rather starve” than eat fast food.
The 60-year-old ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge appears on new TV show ‘Cooking With The Stars’ and admitted that her own tastes in food are quite simple.
She told Radio Times magazine: “I’ve never ordered in – I have never done that Deliveroo thing, ever – and I don’t eat fast food. I’d rather starve than eat a McDonalds.”
Shirley also admitted she has a complicated relationship with food, which she blames on her former husband Corky Ballas.
She said: “I’ve got a difficult relationship with food, one million percent. My ex-husband had a thing about weight, as he was in such beautiful shape himself.
“He would just sit and stare at me if he felt that I’d eaten a portion size that was too big. That was always difficult, so I wouldn’t say that my relationship with food was the best.”
Meanwhile, last month Shirley revealed she had suffered a cancer scare after discovering a lump in her shoulder.
She said: “I got the COVID virus and then they found a ganglion cyst or a tumour in my shoulder.
“I am going backwards and forwards to the hospital all the time. I feel I seem to be getting sicker by the minute.
“I can’t seem to get up and out. It’s something between two bones and they are not really sure what it is yet.
“They have done the dye and the MRIs plus this and that. I get the results in a few weeks. The gentleman seems to think it will be fine but, still, it is worrying.”
In 2019, Shirley’s mum was diagnosed with colon cancer, while her grandmother had a number of procedures to battle the disease, which her aunt also suffered from.
And Shirley had her breast implants removed the same year after discovering a growth in her chest.
