Kym Marsh to marry Scott Ratcliff ‘in a few months’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh is to marry her fiance “in a few months” to ensure her dad can walk her down the aisle.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star got engaged to her partner Scott Ratcliff last month, and just days later revealed her father Dave, 76, has been diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer.
And the couple are keen to marry later this year as her dad is “often in pain”.
She said: “We’ve already booked it, it’s this year! Scott went away and did it all.
“My dad is struggling with walking now because he’s often in pain so we’re having the wedding in a few months’ time.”
Scott added: “We got engaged to be married.
“And on the back of some bad news we thought, if we can pull it off let’s do it this year, because it’s the lift that everyone needs.”
The pair are planning a “very military wedding”, and they have “quite a big wedding party”.
Kym said: “We have people who mean so much to us, so we need to have them with us and involved in some.”
Speaking in a joint interview with OK! magazine, Scott added: “I’ll be in No1 uniform, which is a ceremonial dark blue tunic and dark blue trousers, with medals and I’ll have a headdress on.
“Any of the officers at the wedding will be carrying swords.”
Kym has kids David, 26, and Emilie, 23, from a previous relationship, and 10-year-old Polly with her ex-husband Jamie Lomas.
Earlier this week, the former cobbles star – who played Michelle Connor in the ITV soap – revealed her son David tested positive for coronavirus over the weekend.
