Toby Anstis gets ‘incensed’ at people not taking Coronavirus seriously enough.

OHMYGOSSIP — Toby Anstis gets “incensed” at people for not taking COVID-19 seriously enough.
The 50-year-old presenter has hit out people for not appreciating the severity of the situation, after he contracted the deadly virus twice last year and it left him so weak that he dropped his phone when trying to call the emergency services.
In an interview with ‘The Metro’ newspaper, Toby said: “I had it twice! I never get ill but I was struck down with pneumonia last February. I was coughing up blood and bedridden for eight days.
“The doctor said I had to stay off work for three to four weeks but I’m a freelancer and love my job so I went back early but didn’t feel right.
“Five weeks later I got different symptoms- COVID. I had a vicious cough and was in bed for another week.
“I felt so bad, I tried to call 999 but was so weak, the phone fell out of my hand. I closed my eyes, not knowing if I’d wake up. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I get incensed when I see people not taking it seriously.”
During the chat, former ‘Blue Peter’ presenter Toby, who has been a ‘Heart Radio’ host for 20 years was also asked about his “most pinch yourself moment” of his career.
Toby shed some light on an unusual chat with Prince which took place in the nineties when the singer- who died in 2016- was already wearing facemasks and had temporarily ditched his Prince moniker.
Toby said: “Prince, sadly was going through his artists-known-as-squiggle phase. He wore a facemask- a bit ahead of his time- and spoke through an interpreter.”
And another of Toby’s most memorable moments was when Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall joined him on his radio show.
He added: “We had Prince Charles and Camilla in the studio and they arrived just as I had to introduce the news. I can’t stop the show for anyone, future king or not! I said, ‘Your Majesty, would you mind if I came back to you?’ Camilla laughed. They’re lovely.”
