Kym Marsh’s son tests positive for COVID

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh’s son has tested positive for coronavirus.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star’s 26-year-old lad David Cunliffe was struck down with COVID-19 over the weekend, meaning Kym has been forced to miss ‘Morning Live’ as she is self-isolating.
She said: “I wasn’t well last week, I think you already mentioned that.
“I’d had a bad cold, and had two PCR tests, both negative, but still was kind of coughing all over the place.
“I travelled home, as always on the weekend, to be with my family, with my kids, and then over the weekend my son has tested positive for COVID. So not great.”
Kym – who also has daughters Emilie Cunliffe, 24, and 10-year-old Polly – admitted David “isn’t doing too badly”, but he is coughing and “aching more today”.
Speaking on the breakfast show – which she co-hosts with Gethin Jones – she added: “He’s OK. He’s not doing too badly.
“So it’s come from his girlfriend, his girlfriend is also self-isolating. She’s been really, really poorly.
“David hasn’t so far been as poorly as she has, but today he said he’s aching more today and he’s coughing more as well.
“But up to now, he’s doing OK, so fingers crossed he’ll be alright.”
Last month, Kym revealed her father Dave, 76, has been diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer, which has spread to his pelvis, spine, ribs and left leg.
She said at the time: “It has been a very difficult time, I can’t deny that, but we have always been very close as a family and so we have been able to talk together and plan for the future which is important.
“But the reality is that in Dad’s case it has now spread to his pelvis, spine, ribs and left leg, which is of course bad news.
“At this stage doctors are talking about it being incurable, but it is treatable and the hope is that they may be able to extend his life – but by how much, nobody really knows, and he is in discomfort.”
Kym also got engaged to her partner Scott Ratcliff in June.
