Eamonn Holmes celebrates his daughter’s engagement

OHMYGOSSIP — Eamonn Holmes’ daughter Rebecca has got engaged.
The 61-year-old presenter took to Instagram to pay tribute to his 30-year-old daughter – who he shares with ex-wife Gabrielle – following her recent engagement to fiance Mark.
Eamonn wrote: “Wonderful Casual Family gathering tonight to celebrate my daughter Rebecca’s engagement to her now fiance Mark. [heart emoji] They are very happy as is our whole circle. Mark popped the question on Rebecca’s birthday last week after asking me for my permission [ring emoji] He’s a top lad who we welcome into our family with open arms. [clapping emoji] (sic)”
Charlotte Hawkins – one of the hosts of ‘Good Morning Britain’ – was among the first people to comment on Eamonn’s post.
She wrote: “Ah wonderful news, congratulations! [heart emoji] (sic)”
Gaby Roslin also took to Instagram to offer her congratulations.
She said on the platform: “Ahh huge congratulations [celebration and heart emojis] (sic)”
Eamonn has been married to Ruth Langsford, his second wife, since 2010.
And the 61-year-old TV presenter previously admitted she didn’t immediately give him an answer when he popped the question via text message.
Recalling their day out at Cheltenham races, she wrote: “Eamonn says he was looking at me across the room and had one of ‘those moments’. He said I was laughing and having so much fun and looking so lovely that he thought to himself, ‘Why I am not married to this woman?’ ”
However, Ruth didn’t read the text message until they got in their car and headed home.
She said: “My bag had been lying under a table and I hadn’t heard my phone beep so it wasn’t until we were in the car on the way home that I saw it.
“We had a driver and we were both sitting in the back of the car and Eamonn said he heard my phone.”
Ruth eventually accepted Eamonn’s proposal after reading his heartfelt message.
She shared: “I said ‘yes please’ and because we were both very aware of the driver in front, we just held hands on the way home and said nothing. It was very special.”
