Naga Munchetty and her husband love their time on the golf course

OHMYGOSSIP — Naga Munchetty loves spending time on the golf course with her husband.
The 46-year-old presenter is a huge fan of the sport and she thinks it’s been great for her relationship with James Haggar, explaining that it provides them with the perfect opportunity to have some proper conversation.
Naga – who married James in 2007 – told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “How often do you come home, you’re with your partner and you might chat for ten, 15 minutes and then the telly is on.
“If you’re out on the golf course for four hours, you may not talk all the time, but you spend quality time together and you have the opportunity for conversations to breathe.”
Naga appeared on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2016 and is now one of the UK’s most well-known TV presenters.
But she previously admitted to trying to hide her Asian heritage during her younger years to help fit in.
She said: “I know what it’s like to hide parts of my whole self, to play down my Asian heritage – it’s difficult to acknowledge that I’ve done it, and hard to admit. Since I was young, I felt I needed to, so that I fitted-in more easily.”
Naga first encountered racism as a seven year old, and the experience has stuck with her ever since.
She shared: “I have experienced racism. You never forget the first time you hear that painful and distressing word. I was seven, when someone I thought was a friend at school, told me we could no longer hang out. They used the p-word, making clear the reason was because of the colour of my skin
“The sense of shame was overwhelming. I was told I didn’t belong when up until then I assumed I did. From that moment I knew I was seen as different. That first hurt never goes away.”
