Michelle’s Emmerdale return?

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Emmerdale’s Michelle Hardwick has hinted at a return for Vanessa Woodfield.
Although Michelle’s alter-ego was last seen onscreen last year as she struggled to come to terms with her bowel cancer diagnosis, Michelle has hinted that Vanessa will come through her cancer battle as she is already worried about learning her lines for her return to the soap.
When her co-star Dominic Brunt joked on Twitter about the difficulty of memorising his lines, Michelle – who is currently on maternity leave – replied: “I’m already having anxiety dreams.”
Meanwhile, last year, Michelle revealed via Instagram that she and Kate Brooks had welcomed their son Edward into the world.
Michelle – who is also known for starring in the ITV drama series ‘The Royal’ – and Kate married at Elvis Presley’s home at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2019.
And the actress previously stressed the importance of ‘Emmerdale’ having LGBTQ+ representation.
She said: “I think it’s very important to have LGBTQ+ representation on ‘Emmerdale’ and all the other soaps.
“We are a large platform where millions of people are watching the show every night. If it’s in peoples living rooms we are normalising it.”
The soap star also spoke passionately about Pride and the importance of tackling homophobia in wider society.
Michelle explained: “Pride is so very important. There are still so many places where people are not accepted for who they are. There are still people out there who are homophobic.
“Too often we are hearing about attacks on gay people and it sickens me to my stomach. When you are at a Pride march, though, and see the support from people lining the streets it’s truly amazing.”
