OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Jordon has joined ‘Holby City’. The former ‘Emmerdale’ actor surprised some fans of the medical drama when he popped up in the show last night (08.06.21) as Conner Coleman, and he is “so sorry” to hear the programme is to end next year. He wrote on Twitter: “So pleased to have been involved with the team @BBCHolbyCity playing Conner Coleman . Such a brilliant crew and really enjoyed working with the actors there. So sorry to hear the program is coming to an end . (sic)” Mark will only appear in a few episodes, but admitted his short stint in the series – which is to end in March 2022 after 23 years – was one of his “favourite gigs”. He posted last night: “It was a happy few episodes, deffo one of my favourite gigs. BBC 1 8.20 (sic)” The 56-year-old star previously played Daz Spencer in ‘Emmerdale’ alongside his fiancée Laura Norton (Kerry Wyatt). And the couple have been kept busy off screen after they welcomed a baby boy, Jesse, into the world in January. Former ‘Heartbeat’ star Mark wrote at the time: “So proud to announce that on Friday 29th Jan at 1.30am @laura_norts gave birth to our beautiful baby boy . Weighing 8lb 10oz , both returned home that day. Huge thank you to the wonderful midwifes @roh_birthcentre . Welcome to the world Jesse Jordon (sic)” Laura, 37, admitted giving birth to her “perfect” boy was the most “incredible, surreal experience” she will ever have. She posted: “So, on Friday Jan 29th at 1.30am we managed to bring this little champ into the world. It was the most incredible, surreal experience I have ever had and probably ever will and my tiny mind is blown. He is perfect and we’re all so happy to welcome him to the fam. Jesse Jordon we’re all head over heels IN LOVE with you. (sic)”
