Nina Sosanya joins Channel 4’s Screw

OHMYGOSSIP — Nina Sosanya has joined the cast of ‘Screw’.
The 51-year-old actress will take on the role of prison guard Leigh in Channel 4’s upcoming prison drama alongside Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, Stephen Wright, and Faraz Ayub.
It will see Leigh as she keeps the inmates at the fictional Long March Prison in line but her own punishable secrets will come to light and, if discovered, can cost her more than her job.
O’Donnell joins the cast as Rose, a trainee prison guard who could reveal Leigh’s dark secrets or become her unlikely saviour.
Writer Rob Williams said: “There is so much more to prison and those who live and work there, than misery and violence – and I’m incredibly proud to be working with STV and Channel 4 to show this in Screw, alongside the authenticity inspired by my experiences as a civilian worker in various prisons.”
He will be joined on the project by writer Karla Crome, executive producer for STV Studios Sarah Brown and Peaky Blinders’ Brian Kaczynski is the producer.
