Frances Bean Cobain following parents’ destructive path?
OHMYGOSSIP — Courtney Love‘s daughter is heading down the same destructive path as her parents, according to a new report. 21-year-old Frances Bean Cobain — daughter of Courtney and late Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain — recently made references to drinking, smoking and drug use on social media.
Kurt shot himself in 1994 at the age of 27 after a long battle with cocaine and heroin. Courtney, 49, has a lengthy history with heroin, cocaine and the prescription drug Adderall.
On Dec. 13, Frances, who refers to herself as a “goth wino” on her Twitter profile, posted the message, “Sooo hungover & hungry, worst state to wake up in, ever.”
She’s also posted pictures of herself with a cigarette in hand and talked about drug paraphernalia, including bongs and pipes.
“It’s frightening,” said a friend.
“It might be normal behavior for a 21-year-old with her history, but it could be the start of a nightmare.”
In 2010, Frances inherited 37 percent of her late father’s estimated $450 million estate and purchased a $1.8 million home in Hollywood. Those who know her say she’s a talented artist who has the world at her fingertips – and they’re hoping her recent antics are just a phase.
“Frances has overcome so many things in her young life,” the friend noted. “She’s a survivor.”
