Sharon Stone: I beat Arnold Schwarzenegger ‘black and blue’ on Total Recall set

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharon Stone beat Arnold Schwarzenegger “black and blue” on the set of ‘Total Recall’.
The 63-year-old actress played Lori Quaid in the 1990 science fiction action movie alongside Arnold, who starred as her on-screen husband Douglas Quaid.
In the movie, Sharon’s character attacks Arnold after claiming their marriage is a false memory implant, and the actress has now said it was “hilarious” filming those scenes, because she found it “tough” to take on the former bodybuilder.
She said: “If you’re not a dancer, it’s tough kicking someone in the face with your heel straight ahead. Even if I’m pretty limber, still. Also, it was Schwarzenegger. It’s daunting because you’re looking at this giant, muscular guy. You don’t want to look like, this fight is ridiculous. That she is actually pounding him. So I black-and-blued him, pretty much head to toe that day. It was hilarious.”
Sharon had a great time on the film set, as she credited Arnold with teaching her “so much”, including how to handle interviews.
She added: “Arnold taught me so much, including how to do interviews. He sat in the booth with all the television monitors, watched my interviews, and then advised me. Like, this is how you do this. He’s a master. That’s how he became governor of California.”
The actress also received important advice from another unnamed friend after the success of 1992 movie ‘Basic Instinct’, after he helped her cope with fame.
She told USA Today: “I was on my knees, dry heaving. And he took me to his room, sat me on the side of the tub, ran some cold water, told me to put my feet in there and gave me a Valium. He handled a lot of big stars in his time and he was like, ‘Look, from now on, life is going to change. You need Sharon-Stone-the-movie-star clothes, and then you need your clothes.’ You need to start separating out your life so that you have a sane existence. He actually told me to pay for anything under a hundred dollars with a check because people won’t cash the check. They’ll want your autograph. Which is something I didn’t do. But it was sound advice.”
