Lea Michele: Cory Monteith was my biggest fan & critic
OHMYGOSSIP — Lea Michele says her late boyfriend Cory Monteith was heavily involved in her new album, Louder. “When Cory passed away in July, we sort of stopped and looked at the record and thought, ‘Well is there anything now that we want to change of add?’ It was so perfect the way it was,” she shared.
“What I love so much about the album, with the exception of two songs he heard every single song. He was like my biggest fan and critic and he loved every song! He would give me all his notes and I took every one into consideration.”
“For me, it means so much. You march forth in life. You have to. It just seems so positive to me.”
Cory passed away from an accidental drug and alcohol overdose in July. Lea recalled that time and explained how much she appreciated having her Glee family around.
“I’m just really grateful for them and what we do every day we do in memory and we’re really proud of that work we do for our fans and for our show,” she said.
“I think that everything that I have been through, I have an opportunity right now to be a good role model and be a good sort of person.
“I have amazing fans that have really supported me in everything that I have do, so if I have the opportunity right now to be inspiring or encouraging for anyone – make something positive out of it.”
