Emily Atack has impostor syndrome

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Atack battles with impostor syndrome.
The 31-year-old TV star – who shot to fame as Charlotte Hinchcliffe on Channel 4 sitcom ‘Inbetweeners’ – has admitted it’s surreal that she’s had so much success, while she spoke of her internalised fear that she will be found out to be a fraud.
Emily is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column as saying: “People spend a lot of time looking at the next thing and the next thing.
“I’m just literally sat here looking round me, and I can’t believe all the things that are happening to me.
“I always say I feel like that girl in the club that’s got a fake ID and I’m about to be busted at any point and be chucked out the door.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Celebrity Juice’ captain previously hit out at her critics and insisted there is more to her “than a pouty face and a pair of boobs”.
She said: “People think that if you look a certain way you can’t write, or you don’t have an opinion.
“I thought I needed to almost reinvent myself and show that there is more to me than a pouty face and a pair of boobs.
“The irony of it was that, my whole life, I’d been striving to be sexy when in fact being what I really am – a wobbly-a****, freckly-faced, fun girl – is what makes me feel happiest.”
Emily – who landed her own comedy show, ‘The Emily Atack Show’, last year – also previously slammed the difference between how herself and her male counterparts are treated.
She said: “Discussing one-night stands shouldn’t be such a terrible thing as a woman. Blokes are allowed to talk about them until they’re blue in the face so I’m just, like, whatever. It’s part of being single, it’s part of your dating life. Sometimes one-night stands can be a great thing, sometimes they’re a disaster and I think everyone can relate to that.”
