OHMYGOSSIP — Yazmin Oukhellou has quit ‘The Only Way Is Essex’. The 25-year-old star has decided to walk away from the reality show in order to pursue a career in real estate in the UAE. A spokesperson for the show told The Sun newspaper: “Yaz has decided to stay in Dubai to pursue a career in real estate so she won’t be starting this series of ‘The Only Way is Essex’. “We support this decision and wish her well in this new venture. As with other cast, the door remains open should she return to Essex.” Yazmin recently split from James Lock during a work trip to Dubai and she’s now decided to explore a new career in the UAE. James admitted after their split that they’re both better off apart. He shared: “We’ve broken up. We tried to make it work and we really thought it was going to be different this time but things don’t always work out as you’d expect. “I have a lot of love for Yaz and a huge amount of respect for her but we’re just better apart.” Yazmin also conceded that they are “not good together” and she felt the relationship couldn’t go on. The reality star explained: “James and I have split up amicably. I love James but we’re not good together. “It couldn’t go on the way it was so I told James we should end things and he agreed.” James and Yazmin rekindled their romance in October after splitting in 2019. However, the reunion was questioned at the time by co-star Pete Wicks. Pete said: “He is my best mate and if he is happy I will support him no matter what. But do I think it’s the right decision? Honestly, probably not. “I would say it’s about 50/50 if they are still together by the end of the series. I think they are a dangerous combination and I just hope it doesn’t end as toxic and disastrous as it did last time.”
