Natalie Portman loves Berlin
OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Portman loves getting to travel with her work and particularly enjoys shooting in Berlin, Germany. The ‘Closer’ star has been lucky enough to film all over the world as an A-list star, and marks out the German capital as her absolute favourite place to make films.
When asked her favourite location to film, Natalie – who is moving to Paris, France, with husband Benjamin Millepied and their two-year-old son Aleph – replied: “I absolutely love Berlin. Madrid was amazing, working on ‘Goya’s Ghosts’, I went to the Prado museum every day. And I learned to love Tunisia on ‘Star Wars’. The first time we went it was very, very hot, so it was quite hard, but the second time, I just absolutely fell in love with North Africa. I also really love Santa Fe [in New Mexico, US] ‘Jane Got a Gun’ was shot there.”
Natalie, 32, also hates sexism in the movie industry, and thinks most people get confused between feminism and being “macho”.
She told Britain’s Elle magazine: “The fallacy in Hollywood is that if you’re making a ‘feminist’ story, the woman kicks ass and wins. That’s not feminist, that’s macho. A movie about a weak, vulnerable woman can be feminist if it shows a real person that we can empathise with.”
