OHMYGOSSIP — Maya Jama is set to host ‘Glow Up’. The 26-year-old TV presenter has signed up to be the next star to front the makeup talent show – which was previously hosted by Stacey Dooley – and can’t wait to see what the artists create. She said: “I absolutely love ‘Glow Up’ and can’t wait to join the family. I’m obsessed with makeup and creating different looks. It is going to be so much fun and I can’t wait to see what the makeup artists get up to.” The BBC Three series sees 10 contestants living and working together as they fiercely compete to win a contract, which will give them the chance to assist some of the world’s biggest make-up artists. BBC bosses believe the ‘Don’t Hate the Playerz’ star will be a huge hit with viewers when she makes her debut later this year. Executive Fiona Campbell said: “It’s brilliant to welcome Maya to the BBC Three family for ‘Glow Up’. She is an ideal choice as the new host with a long-standing interest and passion for the industry and we can’t wait to see what she brings to the new series.” It was announced in October that Stacey would be leaving the show after two series to focus on her latest programme, ‘This Is MY House’ but she revealed she would desperately miss beauty experts Val Garland and Dominic Skinner. She wrote on Twitter: “I won’t be able to be a part of Glow Up, series 3. It was such an utter delight to work alongside Dom and Val. Total stars. “And of course, a real treat to meet the artists, and appreciate their creativity! It’s a show v close to my heart, and I wish everyone involved in the next gig, all the love in the world (sic).”
