Charley Webb: Homeschooling is so stressful

OHMYGOSSIP — Charley Webb finds it “so stressful” homeschooling her children.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actress – who has kids Buster, 10, Bowie, five, and 17-month-old Ace with her husband and co-star Matthew Wolfenden – admitted it is “absolute chaos” in her house amid the current coronavirus lockdown, and she joked the youngsters are “quite feral”.
She said: “Well, the homeschooling thing I find so stressful, honestly.
“Three boys in lockdown. I mean, it’s chaos. absolute chaos.
“I’m not gonna lie. And my kids are quite feral as well.
“They’re not like these quiet little boys that will sit and play with trains.”
The 32-year-old star also admitted she tries to “zone out” when it comes to the news nowadays, apart from the “really important stuff”.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’, she added: “I don’t watch the news at all. Obviously, I watch the really important stuff.
“But anything that’s not going to add to my day, I just don’t watch it because it just sends me through the roof.
“I just have to shut myself off. Because obviously, I’ve got three children at home.
“You don’t have that time to deal with anxiety like you normally would when they’re at school. So I just have to zone out.”
Last September, Charley – who plays Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap – found it “hard” to see her son Bowie grown up and ready to attend his first day of school.
She wrote on Instagram at the time: “My little shadow is heading to school tomorrow. We had a special day today, just the three of us and I’m so happy we got to have it. It’s hard with 3 to have that one to one time but today we did and it was amazing. I can’t even begin to explain how emotional I’ve been feeling, I’m sure loads of people feel like this when their babies are starting their school journey (please tell me I’m not on my own). Now I’ve been off work for so long I feel like I’m so used to having him by my side, he follows me everywhere I go and I love it. He’s beyond excited to start tomorrow and be one of the ‘big kids’ and I’m so encouraging of it but god I’m finding it hard. It feels like starting reception is the first day of letting them go a little and start their own journey. He will be absolutely fine and will LOVE it, I know he will. You just might find me sobbing in the corner for a few days but I’m sure I’ll get used to it very quickly. For all the Mums and Dads whose kids are heading off tomorrow or have already started I hope you’re doing ok. Xxx (sic)”
