OHMYGOSSIP — Gloria Hunniford is “desperate” to have the coronavirus vaccine. The 80-year-old TV presenter has been heading to her post box every morning in expectation that she might be next on the list of coronavirus vaccination appointments, but she is yet to have been called to have her jab. She said: “You’re looking at a desperate woman. I am out at the post box every single day. “I have phoned my GP clinic I don’t know how many times. “I’m honestly not trying to jump the queue, but I’m desperate to have the vaccine. “I really want to have it.” Gloria believes the vaccine was available in her area last week, so isn’t sure why she hasn’t had it yet. And she had further bad news over the festive period when her son Paul was struck down with Covid-19. Speaking on ‘Loose Women’, she said: “Paul and his wife Lisa had it for three weeks, and Paul has asthma. Not badly, but enough with a puffer and all that kind of thing. “There were three days when he couldn’t even talk to me because he was so short of breath. “I know that a lot of people in this country have had terrible situations – not able to see their partner, their children, or whatever the case may be. “As a parent, I was desperate to go and see Paul to see exactly how he was, but of course you can’t. “That gave me a little insight into how bad it is.” Gloria’s fellow ‘Loose Women’ panellist Janet Street-Porter, 74, also admitted she is keen to be vaccinated as soon as possible. She said: “I’m about as keen as Gloria. Desperate.”
