OHMYGOSSIP — Jake Quickenden has reportedly signed up for a reality series documenting his life as a first-time father. The 32-year-old star – whose girlfriend Sophie is due to give birth in March – is set to be part of a new MTV show focused on a number of celebrities who either recently had or are expecting a baby. An insider told The Sun newspaper “Viewers will get to watch their favourite stars as they navigate pregnancy, right through to the baby’s birth and parenthood. “Jake is a great signing and he couldn’t be more excited to have this whole experience caught on camera.” The former ‘X Factor’ singer’s partner already has six-year-old son Freddie from a previous relationship, and while he is close to the boy, this will be his first child of his own. The source added: “It’s all completely new territory for Jake and fans will get a real insight into his first steps into fatherhood. “It’ll make great telly and MTV are thrilled to have Jake and Sophie on board.” The couple tragically suffered a miscarriage in 2019 when Sophie was six weeks pregnant, and their loss “hit them hard” at the time. Jake has revealed it was Sophie’s son that made him realise he wanted to be a dad. He previously said: “Freddie is a little legend, he’s like my best mate. “I met him when he was four, but I don’t say that I’m his dad because I’m not and he’s already got a really great dad.” And Sophie has admitted she is certain her beau will be “an amazing dad” in his own right. She added: “Jake will be such an amazing dad. Just seeing how he is with Freddie, I know that he will be brilliant and completely hands on.”
