Casey Batchelor blasts reality stars cashing in with New Year fitness programmes

OHMYGOSSIP — Casey Batchelor has blasted reality stars for making money from New Year fitness programmes without the necessary training.
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ housemate – who appeared on the show in 2014 – insisted many influencers cashing in with exercise apps don’t have the required skills to properly advise their fans.
She told MailOnline: “It’s great people are trying to encourage others to have a healthy lifestyle so any app that comes out, as long as there is a qualified trainer doing it alongside them – it’s good.
“But I do also feel if it’s something you’re going to passion about, train in it, educate yourself in it, how can you give advice when you’re not fully educated in the topic?
“I’m not a person who’s been on a reality show that thinks ‘do you know what? January is coming, I’m going to create an app that is a quick fix for people and it’ll make me a pound’ – it wasn’t like that for me.”
The 36-year-old star insisted she is “qualified” to be sharing her own experience and expertise with her fans, and noted she is in the spotlight rather than enlisting a trainer.
She added: “Yoga is a passion of mine. I have been doing it for a very long time and it helped me lose a lot of weight and I wanted to share that with other people. I am qualified.
“I am not a person that’s created a programme with a trainer next to me doing it – it’s my programme, I have created it, I am qualified, I am trained and I don’t have a trainer doing it for me.
“If you’re creating something it should be yours. I have helped so many women transform their bodies and it has really helped them mentally too.”
And she described her own Yoga Blitz project as her “baby”, while noting she will continue to support people “throughout the whole journey”.
She said: “Yoga Blitz isn’t just a quick fix or a shake and I haven’t just created a program and chucked it out there and that’s it, end of, it’s my baby and I am there with the women throughout the whole journey and I motivate them all the way.”
