Celebs Go Dating filming paused after positive Covid test

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Celebs Go Dating’ filming has been temporarily paused after one of the stars tested positive for coronavirus.
The show’s bosses hired out a mansion for the celebrities to bubble up in while shooting the programme, but there has been an “unexpected” positive test despite the stars quarantining beforehand.
A show spokesman said: “Filming has paused temporarily as it awaits further information regarding a routine Covid test.
“The result was unexpected since the individual had quarantined prior to entering the house, and had been regularly receiving negative results.”
Those in the mansion – where the celebs will be living with their dates – are now isolating.
The spokesman added to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “All those in the house are now isolating while we await the results of further testing and consult with medical experts.
“Filming will not resume until we are reassured it is safe to do so.”
Last week, Channel 4 confirmed Chloe Ferry, Curtis Pritchard, Karim Zeroual, Kimberly Hart-Simpson, Sophie Hermann, Tom Zanetti and Wayne Lineker are all part of the line-up for the show, which will see the return of dating experts Paul C Brunson and Anna Williamson.
Tom said: “I don’t have a girlfriend; all my businesses have shut down and I’ve been asked to live in a mansion full of gorgeous women and crazy characters for a month.
“Erm, sign me up!”
Sophie added: “2020 has definitely been a bleak year for dating, how many socially distanced park walks can one go on?!
“I’ve joined the agency to hopefully find love and not have to spend another lockdown alone.
“I think the agency will have their work cut out for them, mainly due to my lack of filter and pickiness, but I am putting all of my trust into their hands.”
The series is due to air on E4 in early 2021, and for the first time in ‘Celebs Go Dating’ history the cameras will be following the celebs 24/7.
