OHMYGOSSIP — Anton Du Beke will be joined by his whole family on a new baking series on ‘This Morning’. The 54-year-old dancer, his wife Hannah and their three-year-old twins George and Henrietta will show off their favourite festive traditions in the three-part segment ‘Anton Du Bake At Christmas’, including documenting their trip to buy a Christmas tree, winter walks, a lesson in wreath making and rustling up some treats in the kitchen. The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star – who trained as a baker when he was 17 – will show viewers how to make ‘stained glass’ biscuits, mince puffs and a Christmas trifle and he’s thrilled to be involving his kids in the show. He said: “Being able to bake gives me great joy and being able to do it with the children too is just marvellous. “It’ll be very festive indeed. “Christmas time for us is joyous and very traditional, and with two three-and-a-half year olds it’s full of fun and excitement. “Best thing in the world. As a young baker the mince puffs were far more popular than the pies, and the stained glass biscuits make lovely decorations for a family tree too.” ITV bosses are reportedly keen to give Anton more regular slots on the daytime programme, after he previously proved popular with viewers when he showed off his baking skills on a few episodes earlier this year, and after he won praise when he stepped in to judge ‘Strictly’ while Motsi Mabuse was in quarantine. A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Anton was a hit previously on the show and now he is even more in demand after his fabulous stint on ‘Strictly’ where he really showed off his presenting style and warmth. “ITV were determined to snap him up for a longer series.” Anton and his family’s first appearance in the festive segment will be on 3 December.
