Kristin Davis wants to help elephants
OHMYGOSSIP — Kristin Davis is on a mission. The former Sex and the City star is leading the charge to save African elephants! The actress recently kicked off an online fundraiser to buy a helicopter for the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
Kristin has worked with the organization for several years — and the group is desperate to have a chopper to combat Kenya’s poachers, who are decimating the elephant population.
“In recent years, illegal poaching has reached a crisis level,” Kristin wrote on a fundraising website.
“If poaching continues at the current rate, all wild elephants will be extinct in 10 years.
“They need a helicopter to protect this beautiful, natural land and the animals who live there. They have trained rangers ready. They have vets ready. We just need a way to get them there quickly to save the elephants’ lives.
“Let’s get them a helicopter!”
“Kristin has always been passionate about animals,” said an insider. “She wants to make sure that our future generations are not deprived of seeing elephants in their natural state.”
